Our platinum jubilee party: 25 May 2022

On Wednesday 25 May 2022, ten years after our 2012 diamond jubilee party, it was once again time to celebrate the Queen, but this time her 70 years on the throne. So the CTRAA yet again invited everyone in the area to a platinum party – and this time we had managed to secure the vicar’s large garden in Vicarage Gate. Some 170 people turned up and were treated to a hog roast, strawberries, cupcakes and wine, a jazz duo, a magician and an activity table for the children. You can read more about it here.
The music is, of course, Edward Elgar’s Pomp And Circumstance March No. 1 In D Major, from 1901, which is very fitting when celebrating the longest reigning monarch in British history.
