Just like last year, some 140 members and guests mingled in the vicar’s lovely garden. The refreshing rosé was provided by Tuggy Meyer’s Huntsworth Wine, the moorish canapés were prepared by Salt & Pepper, and the jazz quartet was provided by award-winning percussionist Isaac Harari.
Notable guests were our three ward councillors (Catherine Faulks, Lloyd North and Preety Hudd) and Felicity Buchan, our MP from 2019 to 2024. Among the members, we were happy to see former neighbours Rod and Joan Noble visiting from Australia, our former street sweeper Robert Maxwell (made an honorary member when he retired in 2006), Liz and Robert Freeman (one of our longest serving councillors from 1998 to 2022) and, as always, Rolf Christophersen, who turns 103 in November and still takes his daily walks around the area.
Our main sponsor was once more Knight Frank, and we also want to thank the vicar, Mother Emma Dinwiddy Smith, and her team at St Mary Abbots Centre for making us feel so welcome.
